Pokemon the First Movie AKA Mewtwo Strikes Back, was a smash hit all over Japan and now in Canada. Pokefans from all over came to see it and some were disapointed. Every single theater that showed the movie had line ups and soldout tickets. Once inside the theater and the Mini- Movie "Pikachu's Vacation" started playing, there was only one thing to expect to happen. And it did! All the kids, between 5 to 12 began singing along with the intro song and yelled out the name of every Pokemon they saw. There are also fans over 12 years of age but the vast majority of little toddelers overwhelmed them. What else would you expect? They were waiting for the movie to play for over 2 years! As a sales scheme, all Famous Players theaters gave away Pokemon promo cards to anybody who went to see the movie. Often if you wanted, lets say a Pikachu card, they would give you another one. Obviouselly that the most common character. Second would be Mewtwo who is my favorite and thirdly, Mew.
